Recording Session | Voice-over for Canal+

A beep sound popped on my phone.

The Audio Engineering Department coordinator had asked if I'll be available to do a TVC recording session for Canal+. Of course I said yes.

The goal of the recording was very straightforward. We need to record about 2 minutes worth of audio script to accompany a storyline for a smart TV device targeting the Myanmar market.

The Mics and Pro Tools Session

Mic:

• Shure KSM44 + Pop filter

• Dry recording: No reverb, no room mic

Pro Tools:

• Sample Rate: 48kHz, Bit Depth 24 bits

• 100Hz HPF

• Quick punch mode

• To "let run" where the voice talent will repeatedly record 2-4 takes of the same phrase/sentence/word. Then the client and myself will listen and pick the best take.
